We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with Dr. Raph Sun to improve treatments for infants born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH)! Raph traveled to LLU this week to participate in creating our model of experimental diaphragmatic hernia. Raph is funded to investigate better therapeutic approaches to CDH by the Ladybug CDH Foundation.
Last week, Drs. Erin Madriago and Eric McClellan also visited to continue our work together on our model of fetal hypoplastic left heart syndrome. This model supports several projects to develop understandings of right ventricular function and growth in the absence of a functional left ventricle, and to understand how reduced cardiac output affects flow redistribution and development among downstream organs. This work is funded by the NIH/NHLBI, Additional Ventures, and the OHSU Gerlinger Award.
