Packing day(s)!

After running continuously since the 1970s — through multiple generations of scientists — we finally closed up shop on the heart research center lab at Oregon Health & Science University. It was quite a task.

Decades of research meant decades of accumulated stuff — some useful, some mysterious, and some that probably should have been retired sometime around Y2K. Yesteryear’s treasures quickly turned into today’s perplexing artifacts.

In the end, we took only about a third of what was in the lab: just the equipment and materials we actively use. Talk about a spring cleaning.

Huge thanks to everyone who pitched in for the final push of sorting, packing, and moving. It was a big effort — and a bittersweet one — but we’re excited for what’s next.
